Glass is a fragile product, so even insurance companies don't cover glass transportation. If you want to ensure that the glass products are intact and transported to the destination, you must do a good job of protection.
Here are some of the valuable lessons and methods we have gained in our work:
Small glass products
Take the glass as an example, the process of transportation should be handled lightly, can not throw out. The specific steps are as follows:
(1) To be placed in the vertical front direction of the package.
(2) The bottom and the surrounding with white foam or cardboard pad, maintain a certain distance from each other to prevent collision and rupture. If conditions permit, you can use special paper boxes packed and then boxed.
(3) If stacked multiple layers, and the transportation distance is far, a layer of foam should be laid between two to three layers.
(4) If the transportation distance is not far, only the moving thick fabric can be isolated.
(5) When loading the truck, be sure to put it vertically and fix it, pay attention to the stacking height, to prevent the box from collapsing and breaking the glass.
(6) Handling up and down should also pay attention to, whether lifting or putting down, the force should be light, and keep the right side up.
Large glass products
Large glass products such as window glass, glass tables, glass doors and even glass curtain walls
Taking glass Windows as an example, regardless of a small amount of transportation or a large amount of transportation, we should pay attention to the following points:
(1) Be sure to choose a professional glass transport logistics company, which can maximize the safety of glass transport.
(2) Before transportation, it is necessary to ensure that there are no gaps between several large pieces of glass, and it is wrapped with special plastic film to prevent wear during transportation.
(3) Large flat glass and insulating glass due to their large volume, need to be fixed with a wooden frame before transportation.
(4) The large glass fixed by the wooden frame is transported to the special iron bracket on the car, and a layer of external reinforcement is also required with a transport rope.
(5) Regardless of short-distance transportation or long-distance transportation, transport vehicles should slow down because the glass transported is large and fragile.
(6) If conditions permit, containers can be used to prevent glass from falling and breaking .
